As
gripping as its prequel, this book is full of unexpected twists and excitement.
Sequels often don't live up the expectations built up by their predecessors,
but this one is the glowing exception! Definitely a book I would recommend to
any of my friends without hesitation. I'll actually be passing both books on to
some friends very soon!

I
really enjoyed the second installment in the Wings of the Dawn series. Abby
Grant goes on a vacation with her brothers and friends hoping to have a
relaxing time after her crazy summer internship, but yet again finds herself in
the midst of El Gato's scheming ways. The reader gets to know the old
characters better and will really like the new ones introduced (a certain
helpful secretary comes to mind). The author weaves together both story and
characters in a way that isn't over the top, but rather keeps them grounded
which makes the book more relatable to the reader.

If you're looking for a series on
par with the Nancy Drew mysteries of years ago, look no further. Ms. Hogrefe
weaves a tale of suspense and mystery that involves codes, Cold-War spies,
terrorist organizations, and incriminating documents. This book will have you
reading into the night as you follow Abby, our young heroine, through danger
and plots.
Ms. Hogrefe creates believable, empathetic, Christian characters who inhabit a world so accurately portrayed that you'll feel like you are walking on Lake Winona's beaches. But watch your step, because danger lies around every corner!

What a great book for readers of all
ages! If you like mysteries that keep you on the edge of your seat then this
book is for you. It is loaded with action and intrigue. Told from a Christian
perspective, the characters are both interesting and real. They struggle with
real life issues of forgiveness and faith. And..... the door is left open for
more books to come!

This book is a great read! Wings of
the Dawn contains a great mystery story for young adults. The author utilizes
biblical and Christian principles throughout her book by portraying them in her
characters. I liked that the characters were realistic and they didn't become
something that the plot required, but rather reacted as they would in whichever
the situations the found themselves. I have ordered the sequel, Wings of the
Dawn, Book 2: Secrets Beyond Lake Winona's Shore, and am eagerly waiting for
its arrival!
